Two More Weeks Until Class
ONLY 4 MORE DAYS AT THE WB!!!
Well my internship here is coming to an end but I did learn so much about the industry. It is amazingly fast paced and yet relaxing, I do wish I got to see more films before they came out that would be soooo cool!!! They are really nice here at WBOnline at least in the Marketing Division, they are all really cool people. I wonder if the interns on the studio lot were treated half as well as I was here at Online Marketing. I hear so many horrible intern stories from many of my co-workers here, clearly I made a good choice. As whether I should continue working in this field I think that is a definite possibility after I graduate this year from UCD. But you never know what will happen in the next 9 months. Regardless of where I end up my experience at the WBOL has been a real zoom into real world after college.
As for whets happening this weekend: I WILL BE PARTYING AND DRINKING!! Starting tonight out at UCLA and then maybe even stop by USC, Friday I'm planning to go partying at some house parties of friends of friends. Then to cap off the weekend Saturday night my fraternity at CSUN is throwing a huge bash which is gonna be off the hook!!
I know I know "Mark, aren't you too old for frat parties?" Well my response to such an arrogant question is, "Hey, I'm not making any money so I might as well drink for free with people I like, SO STOP BREAKING MY BALLS!!"
Now my movie picks of the weekend are:

Blockbuster of the Weekend:
Lord of War: It looks like a story of Scarface international, but instead of drugs, he sells Guns
Staring: Nicholas Cage, Jared Leto, Ethan Hawk and Bridget Moynahan
Indi Pic of the Weekend & Jewish Identity Pic of the Weekend:
Everything is Illuminated: Story of a man uncovering his Grandfather's past life in Eastern Europe with plenty of wonder and character. This is Liev Schrieber's Directorial Debut.
Staring: Elijah Wood and Newcomer Funny Man Eugene Hutz

Slow Starter of the Weekend:
Thumbsucker: A film about a young man trying to overcome his OCD of sucking his finger, looks to me to be a good concept with strong supporting cast. Could be very funny. Potentially a Hidden Gem that will take off with word of mouth.
Staring: New-Comer Lou Pucci, Tilda Swinton with Vince "Earmuffs" Vaughn, Keanu "I Know Kung-Fu" Reeves, and Vincent "This is my rifle" D' Onofrio.

"Can't Find This One in Theaters" Pic of the Weekend:
The Corpse Bride: From the seemingly tormented mind of Tim Burton, fresh off of the summer hit "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", brings us another "Nightmare Before Christmas" style film. This time Burton hooks up with . . Yep , You guessed it!! Nonother than Willy Wonka himself, Johnny Depp. The film is a claymation horror pic with plenty of fun for the whole family. Catch this one if you live in NY or LA otherwise wait another week!!
Staring: Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Watson, and Tracey Ullman.

Future Films to look out for:
Dirty Love: For the Men, nothing beats a movie writing & stared in by Jenny McCarthy
Daltry Calhoun: A Serious role for Johnny Knoxville?
A History of Violence: Viggo Mortensen from LOTR fame stars with Ed Harris in this potentially amazing small town family meets the Mafia drama.
Farther Down the Path Watch out for:
Good Night. And Good Luck.
Paradise Now.
and of course Fan Favorite:
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Next week is a big week:
Premiere of the 2nd Season of Lost should be really good TiVo it if you can't see it as well as FX's 3rd season of Nip/Tuck. You should also catch SuperNatural on the WB and Reunion on Fox if you have yet to watch either premiere.
Have A Great Weekend!!! :)
